Herald Academic began life as Solutions in Publishing in June 2014, updating its name and focus in 2017. We provide content, events, marketing and publishing services to academia, business and membership groups.
Herald is proud to have its head office in West Yorkshire and has always worked with clients from not just the UK but around the world. We have over twenty years' experience in events, content, marketing and publishing, especially for the academic community.

ROB EDWARDS
Business Director

Rob has held various roles in publishing since 1999, including editorial, sales and business & regional development. He has lectured in creativity and innovation, and served as a board member of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. His passion is drama and the theatre.
SALLY EDWARDS
Editorial Director

Sally's background is in academic editing and publishing production. She is a published playwright and freelance writer, specialising in drama and theatre. Her passion is encouraging young people through teaching drama and, in addition to her work as a writer and editor, is director of a youth theatre.

GINA VEGA
Academic Advisor
Gina is a Fulbright Specialist with assignments at St. Petersburg University, Russia (2010) and Cranfield University, UK (2012).
She is past president of The CASE Association, a CASE Fellow, past Editor-in-Chief of The CASE Journal and past associate editor of the Journal of Management Education.
Currently, she is Accreditation Coordinator for The CASE Association, Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Instructional Cases and Teaching Case Section Editor of Project Management Journal.

PAURIC McGOWAN
Academic Advisor
Pauric is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business Development at the Ulster University Business School. He is active in research, with over 60 research publications and research case studies and in the supervision and examination of Ph.D. research projects. He is on the editorial board of several national and international academic journals, including the journal most closely associated with the Institute, the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research.

COLETTE HENRY
Academic Advisor
Colette is Head of Department of Business Studies and Director of EMeRGe research group at Dundalk Institute of Technology, Ireland, and Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at UiT-The Arctic University of Norway. She has published widely in the areas of entrepreneurship education & training, gender, social enterprise, creative industries and veterinary business. She is a Visiting Fellow at CIMR, Birkbeck, London, and was recently awarded the Diana International Research Trailblazer award for her work on female entrepreneurship.

LYNN O'BYRNE
Administrator
Lynn is a freelance worker specialising in administration, communications and conference organisation. Lynn has over 25 years’ experience working within the university sector, as well as with a wide selection of private sector clients and associations such as Enterprise Educators UK and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education.

CATHERINE BALL
Writer
Catherine is a freelance journalist and copywriter with more than 18 years' experience. After a decade working for regional newspapers, Catherine now specialises in writing about parenting and health, writing for a number of national publications. As a copywriter, she has written commercial content for everyone from tiny start-up businesses to internationally-recognised brands.

ROSE MASON
Writer
Rose Mason studied BA Cultural and Media Studies at The University of Leeds before going on to pursue a career as a freelance writer. She has years of experience writing for various publications before working with Herald Academic on a variety of academic subjects including Atheism, Cryptocurrency and the G20.

CLARE MOUNT
Writer
Starting as a producer/director in live and short form documentary television production, Clare began writing about her own experience for B2B production magazines. Over the following 25 years she has written for specialist retail, property, business and technology titles as well as supporting a number of PR, marketing and design agencies as a freelance copywriter.
