Rob Edwards
Director

Rob has a wealth of experience helping academics to get published, in organizing events and in marketing academic research. With an MA in English and an MBA, Rob worked in business development, editorial and publishing for three international publishers for over 15 years before setting up his own business in 2014. A former trustee of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Rob has also been an Associate Lecturer in Creativity and Innovation at Huddersfield Business School.

Sally Edwards
Head of Editorial

Sally is a copywriter with a background in academic publishing, production and editing. Sally has many years' experience working with academic authors, supporting them through the publishing process. She also helps to organize and coordinate Herald Academic conferences and events.

Lynn O'Byrne

Lynn is a freelance worker specialising in administration, communications and conference organisation. Lynn has over 25 years’ experience working within the university sector, as well as with a wide selection of private sector clients and associations such as Enterprise Educators UK and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education.

Academic Advisors

Colette Henry is Head of Department of Business Studies and Director of EMeRGe research group at Dundalk Institute of Technology, Ireland, and Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at UiT-The Arctic University of Norway.

Her previous roles include Norbrook Professor of Business & Enterprise at the Royal Veterinary College, London, and President of the Institute for Small Business & Entrepreneurship (ISBE).

Colette is Editor of the International Journal of Gender & Entrepreneurship (IJGE). She has published widely in the areas of entrepreneurship education & training, gender, social enterprise, creative industries and veterinary business.

She is a Visiting Fellow at CIMR, Birkbeck, London, and was recently awarded the Diana International Research Trailblazer award for her work on female entrepreneurship. She is also the 2017 recipient of the Sten K Johnson European Entrepreneurship Education Award.

Past Professor at Salem State University, Gina Vega, MA., Ph.D. is one of the world’s leading experts on teaching case studies.

As Founding Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Activity, Gina worked with faculty across all business disciplines to support and encourage case writing and teaching.

She has recently completed a long and successful tenure as Editor of The CASE Journal, and has advised on the case method internationally. She is President of Organizational Ergonomics, an academic consulting firm, through which she conducts training workshops internationally.

Gina is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Instructional Cases, a global publication of concise cases with extended teaching notes.

Professor McGowan is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business Development at the Ulster University Business School. He is active in research, with over 60 research publications and research case studies and in the supervision and examination of Ph.D. research projects.

He is on the editorial board of several national and international academic journals, including the journal most closely associated with the Institute, the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research.

He is a member of the Ulster University Business School’s Research Institute and a Distinguished Business Fellow of the Ulster University in recognition of his work at the interface between the business practitioner community and the University.

Professor McGowan is also a Fellow of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and Fellow of the Higher Education Association. He is Immediate Past President of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, (ISBE), the UK’s leading and longest established learned society of Educators and Researchers in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Practice, with a widening European constituency.
